WGO Pilot Medical Team Visit To Belize
After a long hiatus of medical brigade trips with World Gospel Outreach, Lynda and I were invited to be part of WGO’s Belize medical pilot team. The site was not yet completed, but the plans were to look at and serve in a couple of areas where medical brigades would be serving. This would help in determining how future brigades would function in Belize.
We had been traveling to Honduras with WGO since our first trip as participants in 1995 and then leading trips from the Berwick area back to Honduras multiple times per year. Eventually, we moved to Honduras to live and to help with the teenagers who were rescued from poverty in Tegucigalpa by WGO. During those years, we participated in almost weekly medical brigades so were quite anxious to participate with WGO in this endeavor in their new service country.
